Passion Bicycle

How do you offer such well designed bikes with personalized service at only $899?

Simple! We work directly with the manufacturers, cut out the middleman, and are able to create an incredible product at a lower cost than other shops. Over the years, we have cultivated very strong relationships with some of the top bike manufacturers in Taiwan; the same companies that craft parts for other name brand bicycle companies. Through those personal relationships, we can source the same great components at a reasonable price, and ultimately offer our customers higher quality bikes with better specs and services at a reasonable price.

Why is your supply limited?

The manufacturers and bicycle makers we work with craft such high quality products, that the are always in very high demand by other high end bicycle brands. That means their productions are usually heavily pre-booked by other major companies. Although this shows the level of product that we are sourcing, it’s a double edged sword because a small time entrepreneurial team like us has to constantly compete with the big boys for production.
Thankfully, there was one aspect that helped us stand out from other companies: a mutual love and pride for Taiwanese craftsmanship. So along with that mutual pride, and a steady stream of communication (and always luck), we can secure just enough production lines to build out our limited supply of bicycles. Hopefully, with your support, we can grow to a point where we can ask for more of their exclusive resources and time for Passion Bicycle.

Do you only offer single/fixed gear bicycles?

Yes, for the time being. In the future, we are planning to introduce another line of bicycles with an internal gear hub, offering the same sleek style with multiple gears. If you are interested, please drop us a line ()! You’ll be the first to know when we start offering this new line of bikes, and we’ll throw in a nice bonus gift for your early support!

Do you offer any warranty?

YES! We do offer a 10 years warranty from any manufacturing defects on the frames and forks. Unfortunately, our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear that happens over time (although, since we love you so much, remember that your Passion Bicycle comes with one free tune up at any time).
If you have any questions or would like to ask for a replacement on a warranty item, please drop us a message at: . Please include your name, phone number, order number, and the reason why you would like to claim a replacement. We will contact you ASAP to follow-up. Please bear in mind that you will be responsible for the shipping costs incurred.

What is your Return policy?

Since our bikes are made specifically for your order, we can’t accept any returns or exchanges even if the bike is unused and unassembled.
If we send you the wrong components, components in the wrong colors, or any damaged items, we will certainly send you any replacements free of charge! Please inform our mechanics about any of these issues during their visit, and they will collect all information from you. Our support team will be in touch shortly after and arrange the replacement delivery.

Which city is Passion Bicycle available in?

At the moment, our Passion Mechanics only serve San Francisco and Oakland. If you would like to order our bikes but live outside San Francisco or Oakland, we might not be able to serve you at this time. It sucks, we know.. :(
If you would like to order our bikes but we are not currently servicing your location, please drop us a line ()! We will contact you directly and make sure we have partner mechanics in your area to service you comfortably. In the near future, we are looking to expand to other locations including: the SF Bay area, Seattle, San Diego, Portland, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
If you are not located in any of the above areas, please move to the west coast already where its sunny 365 days a year. Just kidding! We’re definitely hoping to expand nationwide at some point, though only if we can serve you the perfect riding experience.

How do you hire Passion Mechanics?

We hire trained and experienced mechanics to work with us on a part time basis. Apart from the regular background checks, we test their technical skills to see whether they are pro enough to be a Passion Mechanic. Just as important, we only hire people that are passionate about urban cycling, and love helping others with their cycling experience! Our passion for cycling is contagious, and we want to make sure we share this passion with you through our mechanics and focus on customer service. What can Passion Mechanics do for me?

Our Passion Mechanics are responsible for your bike assembly. Once you receive your bike, we will arrange a time with you for one of our mechanics to visit your location. While he or she is assembling your bike, please do not hesitate to ask him or her anything about your bicycles, urban cycling, and really anything that suits your fancy. They will not leave until they make sure you can cycle on your bike comfortably.
After 1-3 months of cycling, we encourage you to arrange another mechanic visit through us. They’ll take care of any necessary tune-ups, and double check to make sure your new bike is still just as comfortable. OH, btw. This second visit is also FREE of charge!

How do I arrange a visit with a Passion Mechanic?

We will reach out to you when your bike is close to delivery, and schedule a mechanic visit at a time that is convenient for you. If you want to arrange a future tune-up with us, just send us an email at: .

 

Shipping

How long will it take for me to receive my bike?

From the time you place the order to final delivery, it will take on average about 4-6 weeks for you to receive your bike. Although this seems long, this is mostly because every bike we sell is custom built for your specific order and we want to make sure every detail is correct for you. The time may also vary due to the demand in different seasons. We can definitely promise you we will make sure we do not keep you waiting for long, and we will be in constant communication of any updates along the way.

Can I buy your bikes even if you are not launched in my city?

At the moment, our Passion Mechanics only serve the San Francisco and Oakland areas. If you would like to order our bikes but live outside of San Francisco and Oakland, we might not be able to serve you right now.
